Hey there! And welcome to my little corner of the internet I call PNW Mama Bear (Pacific Northwest)! My name is Michelle and I’m the owner and writer behind this blog. I created it in January 2017, as a creative outlet for me to share life as a Pacific Northwest Wifey and Mom with others. I love spending time with my family, traveling the beautiful world God created, being creative (like scrapbooking and graphic design), hiking and photography.

I met my best friend and the love of my life Michael! When we were only 16 and 18 and I was still a junior in High School.
In September we got married at a nice country club in Washington State. We have always shared a deep love of traveling the world together and starting a family. We went on vacations and traveled every chance we got! Right after getting married I was able to fulfill the passion I had for being around children, when I became a teacher’s assistant at a local child care center. A year later I was promoted to the Head Teacher of the 18 month – 2 year old class room. And I loved every minute I got to spend with the little munchkins! I learned and grew so much as a teacher (which ultimately grew my knowledge for raising smart, talkative and learning lovin’ little humans)! Like a lot of tips and tricks, patience, and how to raise little ones to have a life long love for learning, by making learning FUN! Referred to as learning through play. Because when children are able to explore and grow without the stress of “sit down and study” type learning, they grow so much more and love it!
We welcomed our daughter A into this world. She is our funny, creative, talkative, learning sponge and dancing queen, little girl!
Moved to Beautiful Northern Colorado for a job opportunity. We loved the weather, scenery and fun activities NOCO provided.
Our daughter became the big sister to our second baby, K. He’s our daredevil (I swear I’ll get grey hairs soon ha), family loving, silly, vehicle loving, little snuggle bug! They are such huge blessings, and the reason why I ending up leaving by job as a teacher, (at 38 weeks pregnant with A) to become a Stay at Home Mom.
Moved back to Washington to raise our children and be close to our families again.
PNWMamaBear.com was born! I love doing learning through play activities with our children, traveling the world and spending time with my family! I started this blog as a way to share, document and help others out there with things that I’m passionate about 🙂
